Davisville Village (C10)
Named for John Davis, the area's first postmaster, it's a neighbourhood preferred by a mix of residents; singles, young couples and families. Residents are right next door to some of the city's best shopping with restaurants, bars, nightclubs and movie theatres. Built in the 1920s and 1930s, the homes in Davisville Village are divided into two main areas. East of Mount Pleasant, there are bungalows, detached and semi-detached homes. In the area west of Mount Pleasant, homes tend to be two and three-storey Edwardian and English Cottage style. There are also condominium buildings along Merton St., Balliol St. and Eglinton Ave. Davisville Park located at Mount Pleasant and Davisville provides its residences with tennis, baseball and a playground for the kids.
