Bedford Park(C10)
The Bedford park neighbourhood is geared towards families with young children. It has an extraordinary selection of public and private schools, many parkettes and playgrounds, community centre, library and convenient access to the cities transit system. The original housing stock was built between 1890 and 1940; however there are many new builds in the neighbourhood where bungalows once were. Bedford Park began as a farming hamlet centered around the crossroads of Yonge and Lawrence. Bedford Park is likely named after a hotel built on Yonge and Fairlawn in 1873. Bedford Park today is commonly referred to as North Toronto. Bedford Park is known as another of the cities great family oriented communities.
