Armour Heights (C12)
Named for John Armour who settled there in the 1830s, the neighbourhood was purchased in the early 20th century by developer Colonel F.B. Robins, who built an elegant subdivision in the area. Armour Heights has an eclectic mix of homes that includes original 1920s Tudor mansions, mid-century two-storey homes, and Modernist structures built in the 1960s and 1970s. A short bus ride along York Mills Road will have you at the Yonge Subway Line in minutes and downtown in a 15 minute subway ride or 20 minute drive. Just minutes away is one of Toronto’s private lifestyle clubs, The Cricket Club, where member have access to skating rinks, pools, tennis and squash courts, fine dining and almost always something for the kids to do.
